How does Mogogo choose the activities it suggests?
Mogogo uses four key variables to understand your situation: your Environment (at home, outside...), your Energy level (chill or active), your Social context (alone, with friends, as a couple, family), and your Location. These inputs are fed into an AI engine (LLM) that generates a personalized activity recommendation uniquely tailored to you. No two sessions are the same!
The recommendations don't match me. What should I do?
Head to "The Grimoire" in the app to update your personal preferences. The Grimoire is Mogogo's magical memory of your tastes, interests, and dislikes. The more accurately you fill it in, the better the wizard owl knows you and the more relevant its suggestions become. You can update it anytime!
🪄 Feathers & In-App Purchases
What are "Feathers" and how do I get them?
Feathers are Mogogo's in-app currency. Each session with the wizard owl costs feathers. You earn free feathers every day simply by opening the app. You can also get bonus feathers by watching a short rewarded ad, or purchase feather packs in the in-app shop to keep the magic going!
I bought Feathers but didn't receive them. What should I do?
Go to the app settings (gear icon at the top right), then tap "Restore purchases". Our system powered by RevenueCat will automatically sync your purchases with your account. Make sure you are signed in with the same Google account you used for the original purchase. If the issue persists, contact us via the button below.
🔮 Referral & Magic Codes
How do I use a "Magic Code" (promo code)?
Open the app and go to Settings, then tap "Enter a Magic Code". Type or paste the code you received and confirm. If the code is valid, your bonus feathers will be credited instantly. Magic Codes can come from social media events, partnerships, or directly from the Mogogo team!
How does the referral system work?
You have a unique referral code in your profile. Share it with friends! When a new user enters your code after installing Mogogo, both of you receive bonus feathers. The more friends you invite, the more feathers you earn. It's a win-win!
📖 History & Feedback
Can I find an activity that was suggested to me yesterday?
Yes! Mogogo keeps a full history of your past sessions. Tap the History section from the main screen to browse all activities the wizard owl has suggested to you. Each entry includes the full activity details, so you'll never lose a great idea.
How do I give feedback on an activity?
From your History, tap on any past session to open the activity detail screen. There you can rate the activity from 1 to 5 stars and leave a comment. Your feedback helps Mogogo learn your preferences and improve future recommendations!
⚙ Account & Settings
Is the app available in other languages?
Mogogo is currently available in three languages: French, English, and Spanish. The app automatically detects your device language, but you can change it manually in Settings at any time.
How do I enable dark mode?
Go to Settings and toggle the theme between Light and Dark mode. Mogogo supports both themes so you can use the app comfortably at any time of day.
Why do I see ads?
Mogogo is free to use. To keep it that way, we display occasional ads via Google AdMob. Ads are non-intrusive and only appear at specific moments. You can also choose to watch a rewarded ad to earn bonus feathers. We will never interrupt your session with the wizard owl!
👪 Family & Personalization for Kids
How can I make sure the recommendations are suitable for my children?
When you select the "Family" social group, an age slider appears ranging from 0 to 16 years old. Set it to match the age of the youngest child present. The AI engine will strictly adapt recommendations to that age range: for example, it will never suggest an escape game for a 2-year-old. This ensures every activity is safe and age-appropriate.
📍 Premium Mode & Geolocation (Out-Home)
Why are some out-of-home activities locked?
The localized/geolocated mode, which suggests real places near you, is reserved for Premium subscribers. For the "Warm & cozy" and "Under the open sky" environments, GPS verification is required for the feature to work. This allows Mogogo to recommend real, nearby venues rather than generic ideas.
How does the app find real places around me?
In Premium mode, Mogogo searches for real, currently open establishments around your location with a minimum rating of 3.5 stars. This ensures that every place suggested is reputable and accessible, giving you confidence before heading out.
🔗 Quick Launch & Deep Links (Rich Actions)
Can I link my Netflix, Spotify or other subscriptions to Mogogo?
Yes! In Settings, you can configure up to 3 video streaming services and up to 3 music streaming services from a curated catalog. When a recommendation matches one of your services, Mogogo provides a direct deep link to open the content in your favorite app. No more searching manually!
How do I open the recommended place on my GPS?
On the result screen, you'll find a "Maps Action" button with the direct GPS coordinates of the recommended place. Simply tap it to open the location in your preferred maps app and get directions right away.
🎯 Recommendation Controls ("Nudge" & Rejections)
What if I already have an idea of what I want to do?
Before starting the discovery funnel, there's a "Nudge" step where you can write a specific idea or use tags to guide the AI. For example, type "something with cooking" or select tags like "outdoor" and "creative". This helps Mogogo focus its recommendations right from the start.
Can I type anything in the free text field?
Almost anything! However, Mogogo includes a built-in NSFW and violence filter. If your input contains inappropriate content, the wizard owl will politely decline and ask you to rephrase. This keeps the experience fun and safe for everyone.
The final activity doesn't appeal to me at all. What happens if I tap "Not for me"?
Mogogo will immediately suggest an alternative activity. But more importantly, this feedback lowers the score of those themes in your Grimoire so that the wizard owl learns from its mistakes and avoids similar suggestions in the future. Every "Not for me" makes Mogogo smarter!
🌟 Dashboard & Community Inspirations
What does "Mood / Energy" on the home screen mean?
On the home screen, you can optionally set your energy level for the day: Tired, Feeling good, or Pumped up. This influences how the AI engine calibrates recommendations for your current sessions. A "Tired" mood will favor chill, low-effort activities, while "Pumped up" will suggest more active and ambitious ideas.
What are "Community Inspirations"?
Community Inspirations let you browse and launch activities that other Mogogo users have loved. They are ranked by the average star rating given by the community. It's a great way to discover popular activities you might never have thought of on your own!
